La‘akea and Elsa first met in April 2018 when La‘akea joined INPEACE, where Elsa was already working. From the start, they were not just colleagues but an incredible team—always laughing, always working well together, and always supporting each other. What neither of them realized at the time was that their connection would evolve into something much greater in the years to come.

Their first personal connection sparked over music. One day, as La‘akea walked into work, he heard Elsa listening to Blackstar, a group he had long admired. He stopped in his tracks, turned back toward her office, and asked in surprise, "Do you like Blackstar?!" That small moment planted a seed that would continue to grow over time.

In 2020, Elsa moved on from INPEACE, and though they kept in touch occasionally, life took them in different directions. It wasn’t until late 2022 that they started talking more regularly. By early 2023, they finally met up in person with some friends, and the moment they reconnected, it was as if no time had passed at all. Both of them realized how much they had thought about each other over the years.

From that point on, their connection only deepened. What started as sporadic messages turned into long conversations, and before they knew it, they were spending more and more time together. Their love story is one of patience, timing, and an undeniable bond that stood the test of years apart.

Now, as they prepare to begin this next chapter together, they are overjoyed to celebrate their journey with family and friends on their wedding day.
